Connecting your email for outreach

Ready to start reaching creators? Connect your email account to Modash and unlock the full email toolkit: bulk outreach, email sequences, reusable templates, open and reply tracking, and a shared team inbox where your whole team can see every conversation. No more switching between tabs or losing track of replies.

Here's how to connect your email

  1. Click your initials at the top right of Modash.

  2. Select Connect email.

  3. Choose Gmail or Outlook depending on which email provider you use.

  4. Click Connect and log in to your email account when prompted.

  5. Review the permissions and click Allow or Authorise.

  6. You'll be redirected back to Modash once the connection is complete.

Once connected, you can compose emails directly in Modash's Email section. Your sent messages will appear in your regular email sent folder, and replies from creators will sync back to Modash so you can track conversations in one view.

Team inbox

Every team member can connect their own email account. When they do, all outreach conversations become visible in a shared team inbox, so the whole team can see who's been contacted, what's been said, and where each conversation stands. No more stepping on each other's toes or accidentally reaching out to the same creator twice.

Automatic inbox health check

When you connect your inbox for the very first time, Modash automatically sends two quick test emails from your account to check that your emails are actually reaching their destination.

If everything's fine, nothing happens - you're good to go!

If there are any issues with your email setup, the Modash team will reach out with further instructions to help you get things sorted before you send your first campaign.

FAQs

  • What permissions does Modash need from my email account?

    Modash needs permission to send emails on your behalf and read replies.

  • Can I connect multiple email accounts?

    No. Only one email address can be connected to a Modash account.

  • Will creators see my email address or Modash's?

    Creators will see your connected email address as the sender. Emails come from you, not Modash.

  • Can I still use my regular email client after connecting?

    Yes. Connecting to Modash doesn't change how you use your email client. You can continue using Gmail or Outlook as normal.

  • What happens if I disconnect my email account?

    You won't be able to send or track emails through Modash, but your conversation history is preserved. If you reconnect later, everything picks up where you left off. To disconnect, go to your account settings and click Disconnect email.

  • What does the automatic inbox health check do?

    When you first connect your email, Modash sends two test emails to make sure your setup is working properly. If any issues are found, the Modash team will reach out to help.

  • Will the health check delay my email connection?

    No. The check runs in the background and won't block or delay anything. You can start using your inbox right away.
