Never miss a single post. Standard campaign tracking collects content matching your hashtags and mentions. Event Mode goes further by collecting everything your creators post during a campaign, even if they forget to tag your brand or use the required hashtags. Perfect for product launches, brand events, or any campaign where complete coverage is non-negotiable.
When to use Event Mode
Turn on Event Mode when you need to make sure nothing slips through the cracks:
Product launches - capture all creator buzz, even posts that don't tag your brand directly
Brand events and activations - track everything creators post during an event window, including behind-the-scenes Stories and live coverage
High-stakes campaigns - when complete coverage matters more than anything
Creators who forget tags - some creators consistently miss required hashtags or mentions
How to enable Event Mode
Open Track and create a new campaign (or edit an existing one).
On the tracking setup step, toggle Event Mode on.
Choose your campaign start date (you can backdate up to one week).
Add the creators you want to track.
Click Start campaign.
Modash will now collect all content from those creators, not just posts matching your tracking keywords.
How Event Mode content appears in your campaign
Your campaign's Published content tab will show two sections:
Campaign - content that matches your hashtags, mentions, or keywords
Event mode - all other content the creator posted during the campaign period
You can move content between these tabs. If a creator posted about your brand but forgot the hashtag, just move that content from the Event mode tab to the Campaign tab so your campaign metrics stay accurate.
To select content to move:
Click the + button on individual posts to add them
Use Ctrl + click (or Cmd + click on Mac) to select multiple posts
Use Shift + click to select a range
Click and drag to highlight multiple posts at once
Pro tip: Each creator in Event Mode counts as 2 tracking credits instead of 1. For example, 10 creators in Event Mode would use 20 tracking credits. Keep this in mind when planning your campaign, especially if you're close to your tracking limit.
Importing content manually
If Modash didn't automatically pick up a piece of content (for example, it was posted before the campaign started), you can import it manually. Click Import Content in the Published content tab, paste the link to the post, and Modash will add it to your campaign.
If the creator isn't already part of the campaign, they'll be added automatically when you import their content.
FAQs
FAQs
Will Event Mode capture Stories that expire?
Yes, as long as the Story is posted while the campaign is active. Modash captures Stories before they expire. However, Stories that expired before the campaign started can't be retrieved.
Why does Event Mode use double the tracking credits?
Event Mode requires Modash to collect all content from each creator, not just content matching specific keywords. This additional data collection uses more resources, which is why each creator counts as 2 tracking credits instead of 1.
Can I use Event Mode and keyword tracking together?
Yes. When Event Mode is on, Modash still identifies which content matches your keywords and separates it in the Campaign tab. Everything else appears in the Event mode tab. You get complete coverage and organized content at the same time.
Can I change my campaign start date to more than one week in the past?
Yes. Contact Support to request this change. Provide the campaign name and desired start date.
