How to send products to influencers with Modash

With Modash, you can send products to creators effortlessly while keeping everything organized. Here’s the step-by-step on how to make it happen:

Step 1: Connect your Shopify store

First things first—make sure your Shopify store is connected to Modash. This step syncs your products so you can start building product catalogs. Don’t worry if you’re new to this—Modash will guide you through the process!

Step 2: Create a product offer

You'll start first with creating a product offer. You decide what’s included and set restrictions to keep things within your budget. You can either include the entire store, have a set collection, or choose individual products.

Also, don't forget to decide on your budget and set clear limits, including an expiration date for the offer. This way, influencers can pick what they love without breaking the bank (yours, that is).

Once you've done so, we'll automatically create a collection in your Shopify with the selected product(s), to which the gift budget amount can be applied.

We automatically tag the order as Modash gift in Shopify to identify which orders are for influencers.

Step 3: Assign and share

Once your offer is ready, you need to assign it to your creators. This should be done for every single influencer in your campaign.

Whenever you assign the offer, Modash will generate a unique link and code for that specific creator. You can share this link and their free delivery code with them by using our emailing function 😉

When they open the link, they’ll be taken directly to your Shopify store, where they can browse the relevant products, pick items (choosing colors, sizes, etc.), and enter their shipping address—all while the discount is automatically applied. The only thing they need to do is add the free delivery code. Easy peasy 🍋 squeezy.

Step 4: Keep an eye on orders and content

Modash makes it super easy to stay in the loop. You can track when the gift is ordered, monitor delivery status, and see when influencers post content featuring your products—all in one place.

Set a realistic budget upfront

Before sending products to creators, it’s worth taking a moment to think through a few practical details that can make a big difference in how smoothly your campaign runs and what you get out of it. In Shopify, taxes are applied at checkout, so if your budget only covers the product price itself, creators might run into issues when placing the order. Leaving a bit of margin helps avoid unnecessary friction.

Be intentional with the products you offer

If you’re offering a limited selection of products, be deliberate about what you include. Think not only about what you want to promote, but also about what creators would genuinely be excited to receive and use. The closer the product fits their style and content, the more natural any resulting promotion will feel.

Be clear about your goal before sending gifts

Some brands use gifting purely for seeding, where content is appreciated but not expected. If you are looking for guaranteed posts in return, transparency is key. Make sure expectations are clear upfront and agree on deliverables with creators before sending any products. Sending gifts without an agreement and hoping for results often leads to disappointment.

Choose creators with intent, especially for seeding

If you’re running a seeding campaign with no formal agreements, be selective about who you send products to. The better the fit between the creator and your brand, the higher the chances they’ll genuinely want to share your product with their audience.
