Every discount code redemption, every tracking link click, every purchase - Modash ties it all back to the creator who made it happen. Stop wondering which partnerships are driving real revenue and start seeing the exact numbers, per creator, per campaign.
How sales are attributed to creators
Modash attributes sales to creators using two methods:
Discount codes: When a customer applies a creator's unique discount code at checkout, that sale is credited to the creator who owns the code
Tracking links: When a customer clicks a creator's unique link and purchases within 30 days, that sale is attributed to the creator. Modash uses last-touch attribution, so if a customer clicks multiple creators' links, the most recent click gets the credit
Affiliate codes always take priority. If a customer clicks one creator's tracking link but uses a different creator's affiliate code at checkout, the creator who owns the code gets the sale.
Non-affiliate discount codes (like sitewide promos) do not block link attribution. If a customer clicks an affiliate link but uses a general promo code at checkout, the affiliate link still gets credit.
What you'll see in your campaign dashboard
Once creators start using their codes and links, you'll have a clear picture of what's working:
Revenue per creator: How much each creator generated in sales
Order count: How many orders each creator drove
Code redemptions: How many times each discount code was used
Link clicks and conversions: Traffic and purchases from tracking links
ROAS (Return on Ad Spend): Revenue compared to what you spent on each creator
Sales data appears within a few minutes after a purchase is completed in Shopify.
Viewing sales in your campaign
Open Track and select your campaign.
The campaign overview shows total sales and revenue across all creators.
Go to the Creators tab for a per-creator breakdown of revenue, orders, and code usage.

Check the Orders tab to see all orders attributed to the campaign, with the link or code that generated each sale.
Getting the most accurate sales data
For the most complete picture of creator-driven revenue:
Assign both a discount code and a tracking link to each creator.
Add creator rates to your campaign so Modash can calculate CPM and ROAS
Use unique codes per creator so attribution is clear
Keep your Shopify store connected throughout the campaign
Pro tip: Embed a creator's discount code into their tracking link. When a customer clicks the link, the code is automatically applied to their cart at checkout - double the attribution power with zero extra work from creators!
FAQs
FAQs
How quickly do sales appear in Modash after a purchase?
Sales data typically syncs within a few minutes of a purchase being completed in Shopify.
Can I track sales without a Shopify connection?
No. Sales tracking requires a connected Shopify store. Without Shopify, you can still track content, engagement, and link clicks.
What if a customer uses a discount code but didn't click a tracking link?
The sale is still attributed to the creator who owns that discount code. Discount codes don't require a link click.
What happens if a customer clicks multiple creators' tracking links?
Modash uses last-touch attribution. The most recent link clicked before purchase gets the credit.
What if a customer uses both a link and a discount code from different creators?
The creator who owns the affiliate discount code gets the sale. Affiliate discount codes always take priority over link attribution.
What happens if a customer returns a product?
Returns and refunds are reflected in your sales data. Modash syncs with Shopify to keep revenue figures accurate over time.
Why don't I see ROAS in my campaign dashboard?
ROAS requires creator rates data. Open the Creators tab and add the rates for each creator. Once rates are added, ROAS calculates automatically.
