Modash uses AI-powered importing to make migration effortless. Just drag and drop your spreadsheet, and Modash automatically detects your columns, identifies platforms, and maps your data - no manual reformatting needed.
Here's how to import your creators:
Go to Manage in Modash.
Click Import.
Drag and drop your file (or click to browse). Modash accepts CSV files with creator data - usernames, emails, URLs, or a mix.
Modash AI scans your file and automatically maps columns to the right fields (handles, emails, labels, notes, statuses, assignees, and more).
Review the suggested mappings. Adjust any if needed - though in most cases, the auto-mapping handles it.
Click Continue, choose an existing list or create a new one, then confirm.
Modash will match the creators in your file with profiles in the database. Once imported, you'll see all your creators organised in lists, ready to add to campaigns or reach out to via Email.
What gets imported
Beyond creator handles and emails, Modash can import your existing CRM data too:
Labels - Keep your existing tags and categories
Notes - Carry over any creator notes

If a creator isn't found, it may mean they haven't been indexed by Modash just yet. We'll start gathering data right away, so you can add them manually after a few minutes.

Pro tip: Modash's AI mapping works best with clear column headers (e.g. Instagram Handle, Email, Notes). You don't need to reformat your spreadsheet - just make sure handles are spelled correctly for the best match rate.
Once imported, your creators are ready to go. Organise them into lists in Manage, add them to campaigns in Track, or start reaching out via Email. Your entire creator base, fully connected to every part of Modash.

Can I import creators to multiple lists?
Yes. You can import the same creators to different lists or move them between lists after importing.
Is there a limit to how many creators I can import at once?
You can import up to 5000 profiles per import when using usernames or URLs, and up to 1000 profiles for email-based imports. Large import processing may take a bit longer - you can continue using Modash while it runs in the background.
Will importing overwrite my existing lists?
No. Imports always add to your lists - they never delete or replace existing creators.
Does Modash automatically detect which platform a creator is on?
Yes. The AI mapping detects platforms from your column headers and URLs, so you don't need separate files for Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.
What file formats are supported?
Modash supports CSV (.csv) files. You can export to CSV from Excel, Google Sheets, or most other tools.
