Want to reward creators for the sales they bring in? With affiliate payments, Modash helps you pay out commissions automatically, and we’ll handle the boring stuff like invoices, taxes, and currency conversions behind the scenes.
Before you dive in, make sure to check out this guide on what affiliate payments are and how to set them up. Also, affiliate payments are a separate feature available on the Performance plan and above. They’re not enabled by default, so if you're interested, reach out and we’ll get you sorted.
1. Find your first Influencer to invite to your affiliate program
Inside your campaign, pick the influencer you want to invite to your affiliate program.
2. Enter your affiliate's basic information
Enter the creator’s email (used for payouts)
Upload a contract or proof of agreement (a written contract is best, but message logs work too)
3. Create a new commission tier
This is a reusable template for future creators with the same terms.
Name your commission tier
Select your Shopify store
(Optional) Add a UTM to the affiliate link
Choose your commission type:
% or fixed amount
First sale only or repeat sales
(Optional) Attach a discount code or a gift order
4. Add the creator to your commission tier
Select the commission tier you'd like the creator to be added to, and then select Add to affiliate program
If you have automatic invitations set up, you're all set! You'll see the top message in the screenshot below. If you don't, you'll see the lower message, and the invitation link will be automatically copied to your clipboard, ready to be sent to your newest affiliate!
5. Rinse and repeat
Congrats, your first affiliate is live! You can reuse this commission tier for other creators too. No need to re-enter the same info. Less clicking. More scaling.
6. Influencers will be prompted to set up their payouts
Influencers will receive an email notification informing them that your brand has invited them to your Affiliate Program.
