The creator dashboard

Written by Donna

Your creators get their own dashboard at creator.modash.io where they can view collaborations, track commissions, manage payouts, and redeem product gifts. This article walks you through what creators see so you know exactly what experience you're giving them.

When you add a creator to your affiliate program, they receive an email invitation to join. From there, they sign up (or log in if they already have an account), accept your collaboration terms, and land in their dashboard ready to go.

How creators get started

Once a creator receives their invitation email, they click the link to sign up or log in at creator.modash.io.

New creators set up their account by adding payout information (bank details) and reviewing the collaboration terms. Returning creators who already have an account simply accept the new brand collaboration.

Before commissions start tracking, the creator must accept the invitation. Until they do, the collaboration shows as Pending in their dashboard.

Collaborations

The Collabs tab is the creator's home base. It shows all their active brand partnerships as individual cards - one card per brand.

Each collaboration card displays:

  • Brand name and creator handle (e.g., "YourBrand x @creator")

  • Product samples - images of any gifted products

  • Commission details - first sale rate, repeat sale rate (if configured), new customer commission, and the audience discount code value

  • Tracking links - their unique affiliate links, ready to copy and share

  • Discount codes - their assigned codes with the discount amount, also copyable

  • Gifts - product offers they can redeem

Creators can expand a Show More section on each card to see the full program details: hold period, payout frequency, minimum payout amount, and their contract file.

Redeeming gifts

When you send a product gift through Modash, creators redeem it directly from their collaboration card. The flow works just like placing an order on your website - they select their size/variant, enter their shipping address, and confirm. The gift is fulfilled through your Shopify store like any other order.

Multi-brand experience

If a creator works with multiple brands using Modash, all collaborations appear under the same account. They don't need separate logins. Each brand shows as its own card on the Collabs page, so creators can easily switch between partnerships and keep everything organized in one place.

Commission tracking

The Tracking tab gives creators a detailed breakdown of their earnings. They can use the collaboration selector at the top to switch between brand partnerships.

For each collaboration, creators see:

  • Upcoming payout - the next payout date and estimated amount

  • Pending commissions - earnings still in the hold period

  • Total received - lifetime payouts from that brand

If you've enabled the orders table for your affiliate program, creators also see individual order details:

  • Order date

  • Net order price

  • Commission amount

  • Payout status (processing, scheduled, or paid)

  • Expected payout date

  • How the sale was tracked (discount code or tracking link)

This gives creators full transparency into which of their links or codes are driving sales and exactly when to expect payment.

Payout method

Creators manage their banking and payout details directly in their dashboard. They add their bank account during initial setup and can update it anytime.

⚠️ When Modash makes a payment to a creator, we always send the payment to the bank account saved in their creator dashboard. They do not need to include this information on their invoices, as it is not registered as the recipient account.

Modash handles invoicing automatically when creators enable auto-invoicing - or they can upload invoices manually. Either way, payouts follow the schedule you've configured: commissions clear the hold period, hit the minimum payout threshold, and get processed on your billing cycle (monthly on the 1st, or weekly on Mondays).

Getting support

Creators have two ways to get help from Modash:

  • Email - they can reach the creator support team directly

  • Live chat - the pink chat widget on creator.modash.io connects them to support in real time

Creators also have access to the Modash Creator Help Center with articles covering account setup, affiliate payouts, FAQs, and taxation.

💡 Your creators never need to contact you for Modash platform issues. The Modash creator support team handles all technical questions, payout inquiries, and account troubleshooting directly.

What creators can and can't do

Creators can:

  • View all their collaboration details, commission rates, and program terms

  • Copy and share tracking links and discount codes

  • Redeem product gifts

  • Track individual orders and commission amounts

  • Manage their payout information and invoices

  • Contact Modash support via email or live chat

Creators cannot:

  • Edit commission rates or program terms - these are set on your side

FAQs

  • Do creators need to download an app?

No. The creator dashboard is a web app at creator.modash.io. Creators access it from any browser on desktop or mobile.

  • What happens if a creator doesn't accept the invitation?

The collaboration stays in Pending status. Commissions won't be tracked until the creator accepts. You can resend the invitation or share the invite link directly.

  • Can creators see exactly which orders earned them commission?

Only if you've enabled the orders table for your affiliate program. When enabled, creators see each order's date, value, commission amount, and payout status. When disabled, they see payout summaries only.

  • What if a creator works with multiple brands on Modash?

All brand partnerships appear under one account. Creators log in once and see a separate collaboration card for each brand. Earnings and payouts are tracked per brand.

  • How do creators get support?

Creators can email the Modash creator support team or use the pink live chat widget on creator.modash.io. They also have access to the Modash Creator Help Center for self-service help.

  • Can I customize what creators see in their dashboard?

You control whether the orders table is visible. Commission rates, discount codes, tracking links, and gifts are determined by your tier and campaign setup - creators see whatever you've configured for their collaboration.
