You ask a question or give an instruction in plain language. Your AI tool works with Modash in real time and gets it done. Modash handles the data and actions - your AI tool interprets the response.

Security and permissions

Your data stays safe. Here's how:

Connects as you - the MCP connector inherits your account permissions. It can only access what you can access in Modash. If your permissions change, so does the MCP's
Live queries - your AI asks a live question and gets a live answer, every time.
Controlled access - the connector only exposes specific data and actions that Modash has chosen to make available. It can't see your account settings or billing information
Revocable access - you can disconnect MCP at any time from Connect AI Tools in your Modash settings

Does it use credits?

Most MCP actions are completely free - no credits used. The one exception is unlocking creator emails, which uses export credits just like it does in the Modash dashboard.
